Full Steam Ahead!

I just heard from the nurse: It's all good!

I have un-clenched.

The nurse said the doctor doesn't know why I would be having such an early period, but assured me that the blood test showed that I'm "nicely repressed" and everything looks fine to proceed as planned.

Additionally, she gave me the dates and instructions for when to start my injections. My first one will be on Thursday, November 15th (in just over a week!). I was so delighted by this news I quite literally kissed the phone as if it was the wonderful messanger nurse.

Breathing...again.

I don't know why I got so upset. Actually, I do. It's because I am so used to my body not cooperating, especially reproductively. It never does what it's supposed to do - this strange birth-control induced period is a great example of that. But for all the trouble I've had (I'm talking to you - yeah, YOU, ovaries!) I can't complain anymore. Knock on wood, things are progressing...swimmingly.

Thanks again, all, for your support and for talking me off the proverbial ledge yesterday. Love you guys!

YAY! So glad that things are on track and that you'll be starting so soon. That is definitely exciting. I may be starting meds around the same time, so while we won't be IVF buddies, we can be medication buddies! :)

So glad that your body is (somewhat) cooperating! And good luck with all the injects. It's so exciting to be starting anew :)

oh i 'get' being ill with a body that won't cooperate. when we were starting our ivf, the cysts, the bleeding, the whatever that kept putting our cycle off frustrated me.
i kept feeling like, you can't get me pregnant and now you cannot even cooperate with the process that you need to get pregnant.
but, it looks like yours is doing just fine. yea!
full steam ahead.

Yay!!! Thank goodness for the GOOD news. I am so glad to hear things will still go off without a hitch.
Both my ovaries and yours need to take a long walk off a short pier, eh?

Cheers!

I dunno how this is supposed to work when you've never met, nor spoken, nor are ever likely to, but I am truly delighted for you.

So far so good, & stay positive.
